hakushin_ryouga 2009/7/1 - 12:48:45Holy cow the timer went crazy on me, it jumped from 1 hour 45 minutes to over 10 hours with one escrow O_O oh well timer issues aside, I decided to kind of go back so some more simple cel shaded work after my time with the black and white I had to use Toriyamas super saturated colors to push me back into a more cartoony style. I rather like now it turned out. Korin (the cat) grows Senzu beans(they are beans that can instantly recover a person even from the brink of death.) so it was only fitting that goku be beat up when going to see him. This was the frist style I ever tried to emulate when I started drawing, so it was kind of fun to go back to it and see if I still had it. ^_^ Comments: 4 |

Coffee and tea, who doesn't like one of the two? But they're not exactly the same. What I want from you guys is to draw a picture around those two. But, there are some rules to it.. If you decide to draw tea, Kokko demands extravagance! Lace, dollies, pink stuff galore! You got it, girly things. So basically, a picture full of details (think extreme tea party). If you decide to draw coffee, Kokko demands simplicity. But, it's not just one item simplicity. Just something calm and easy, as opposed to the commotion of the "tea". So think a relaxing environment (early morning breakfast perhaps?) When posting your picture, I'd like to know whether you chose coffee or tea, because it might not be easily apparent. shigeruyuki 2009/7/2 - 15:27:33CONTEST IS OVER!!!! sorry for the late end O___O I had the dentist and work has carried me away T_T and so! the results!! + 1st PLACE ~ A comic strip of the characters meeting in colour! + - fenri - ^-^ This personally is my fave entry. The anatomy is wonderful and I love the soft nature of the image. I also love the concept behind it (is a yaoi fan >8D) a sort of forbiden love (which yuni seems oblivious to XD) + 2nd PLACE ~ A comic strip of the characters meeting in black and white! + - kokko - I love the fresh feel to this ^-^ I admit I do have a thing for characters exploiting other characters ^-^ it just adds a spice to the whole tale XD The image itself is beautifully made, makes me think of an anime screneshot ^o^ the colours are bright and inviting. + 3rd PLACE ~ A lineart of the character. + JOINT!! I think I should get a tablet if I want to do that D: Anyway, this is Vitani. She's pretty much a playful little regular wolf pup who hates thinking and is rebellious. She has an irregular colored nose and has fluffy not-wolf-like fur. Uhhh Vitani can be like an annoying little fly who keeps bugging Yuni and nipping at his/her feet. cloudy-chan 2009/6/27 - 3:50:53The costume: I have gone for a fantasy approach in the costume I have created instead of a tribal or cave man look, as I see this story to be leaning more towards fantasy then a modern story. This costume is Estara’s Healers Robes, she has other robes but this is her main costume, it is said that to cast great magic, one must wear very little (as you can see) Originally Estara was meant to have White or light blonde hair but with the type of coloring I chose it just looked too flat and now it is kind of…well gray, in the comic I think it would look better if her hair remained white. Her story: This is Lady Estara she is a White healer who lives in the forest, the villagers shunned her and see her as a evil witch, they dislike her with a passion and think she brings evil and curses upon them, Estara being a gentle, peace maker and caring young lady thought it would be best if she left the village leaving her grieving mother and little brother behind to live alone in the forest. It is not known to Estara yet but she is one of the rare Magic users of this realm, and she can perform much greater spells than healing. She collects herbs for healing and white spells daily and on her travels sees many things; she associates with many animals and often feeds them as they can help her find many more rare herbs. One day when she was making her daily run she came across the most stunning animal she has ever seen she could see that it was a pride beast. At first she thought Yuni was just a beautifully marked wolf but after feeding her day by day and gaining her trust she realized that this wolf was more intelligent than a mere forest wolf and oddly it even seemed to know what she was saying to her. She wants to protect Yuni as they have become very close. Estara can sense something terrible is about to happen as Yuni is becoming more and more nervous and acting stranger than usual. Conditions: No dodge or burn tools used, used dark blue grays and browns instead of black. Comments: 7 |
