Ismat probally could have climbed the rope more swiftly, was she not obsessing over preventing Ode's giant lizard from looking up her dress. Or, you know, had she worn something practical for the job.

"You're'da best, Anass." The teifling spoke as she reached the top, then gave the man a pert little pat on the chest. "Seen any crews, or are they dead and cut up or somethin'?"

Ode decided to remain below; partly in case of ambush or trap, and partly because Nuru was freaking the fuck out any time she tried to bring the animal closer to the ship.

There was a sound, suddenly. Screaming and banging against one of the doors on the main deck, where everyone was.

"OH GODS HELP! PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP! GOD'S ABOVE PLEASE! PLEASE! SOMEBODY HELP!"

It sounded like a man. He sounded very, very, panicked.

Anass drew his crossbow and ran over to the door, positioning himself at the doors right.
"Who's there?"

"ALI! MY NAME IS ALI! JUST LET ME OUT! GODS IT'S STILL HERE! OPEN THE FUCKNG DOOR! LET ME OUT BEFORE IT GET-" There was a scream. A horrible scream, and sounds for which there were no words. Something thudded against the door, and then all was still and silent once more.

Anass decided not to open the door. Instead he ran up the nearby staircase and climbed down the back to look through the window.

The room was a wreck, with blood stains all over the floor and walls, long deep scratches along most surfaces, as though from some great beast, and book cases, bits of table, and other debris strewn about.

Ismat readied a throwing knife in one hand whilst putting her ear against the space of the wooden hull next to the door, albeit awkwardly due to goaty horn abundance... One had to wonder how she managed to use a pillow...

Anass climbed back onto the the ship and made his way to the door, opening it as quietly as possible.

Anass carefully opened the door revealing the... perfectly normal captain's cabin?

The room was a bit messy, as one might expect of a pirate vessel, but otherwise it was what appeared to be a perfectly normal captain's cabin. No blood. No scratch marks. No signs of violence, struggle, or anything. Everything looked fine.
