As do I. I liked a lot of the animes up there, but seriously:

18. Strike Witches

I could be blindfolded and spun around a few times and still punch through the existing plot holes and predictability here. Just to name one. Maybe its popularity could be summed up to a bunch of young girls not knowing how to put on pants. Yet they're able to fly on jet-boots like the Spy Kids minus clothes and guys.

I guess the poll wasn't of "best story" or "best characters." I enjoyed a lot of them, even with the above reasons (I didn't like Strike Witches all that much. I quit after 2 predictable episodes).

The Japanese, I suppose (or at least those 4000) have vastly different tastes than we do. Also, can someone explain to me the deep meaning behind Angel Beats? The story was well above the average anime plot, but I don't really see anything that would propel it over the top.

Although I agree with matt what the fuck's with strike witches being up there? I also agree with the spice and wolf thing.

I'm not really just how large this industry is (a million fans at least? maybe) but interviewing just 4000 people of only one nation doesn't really seem to be a really good way to conduct a poll on an international industry.
