As of the time of this posting there are 559 users viewing the Video Games subforum. The vast majority of which are guests.
I can reach only two plausible conclusions: MT is haunted, or we are being hit with a DDOS attack.
I have to go to class soon so I can't wait around for Rio to show up, or whatever, so I figured posting this here is the safest best.

I Googled it. If it is what I've heard, it should be dealt with quickly.
There could be more reasons than just an attack, but any of the ones I'm thinking of wouldn't work considering all the other threads have their usual amount of viewers. The one I'm left with is a college professor (or other such figure) providing a link to every one of his students in a huge lecture hall, and that link happens to be to a thread in our video game section. Possible, but not likely.
I was talking about this with my boyfriend yesterday, and he told me that the article about resources for game makers had been submitted a few hours before to a very popular site, Reddit (which was offline because of the high traffic, when I checked :3) - so he guessed that that was the reason...
Also, I did find links to it (posted by Rioka in at least one case) in other places, and keep in mind that thread has been posted in the Videogames section here last month and it has 5,376 views already.

Guh, I just realised I posted this in contests and not news and announcements. I feel like an idiot. I *was* in a rush yesterday, though. Can a kindly mod move this?
Sure. Well, there isn't really a news and announcements section, so I'll put it in ask a mod.
No redditors here, huh?
