Well, here's my list:
5)Elfen Lied
This anime was really short, but the plot was amazing. I thought the ending was really strong, because it really mixes pity with vengeance. Most animes fail to get a perfect emotional mix, but Elfen Lied did an outstanding job.
4)Cromartie Highschool
Relaxing animes are great in my opinion. Cromartie Highschool was a gem in the gag and relaxing anime genre. Whenever I watched it, all my worries were replaced with laughs and happiness.
3)Eyeshield 21
I don't know if it's just me, but I love Eyeshield 21. It is an excellent anime, and watching it only makes me want to watch more.
2)DragonBall
The manga was amazing, and the anime was great. I can see why this influenced so many mangakas, and why it is so loved.
1)Ranma 1/2
I really don't see this as a ground-breaking anime, but it's a really calm and relaxing anime. The only bad thing about Ranma is that once you finish it, you crave more. We really need more animes like Ranma.

I love the Eyeshield 21 manga but the anime is just not up to par because they changed parts of it which didn't turn out very well, imo. This is usually the case with other anime series - I would love the manga but the anime was just completely different or just not as well done that they didn't make it to my list.

Woah, you liked Fate/Stay Night that much? I thought it was good but I was kind of disappointed with the ending.

And yeah, Shirou never gets the girl in the end, but I think it represented fairly what Saber stood for - the ideals of sacrifice and heroism, etc, etc. The best ideals are the ones you can never fully attain.

Yeah, I get what you mean but endings like that make me depressed, lol. (It's not that they're bad, just sad) Thanks for showing me that alternate ending though, it was nice to see them back together again. I think that helped to fill the void where I wished they'd be back together again. I actually might have to make some room for Fate/Stay Night on my list...
