girl hardworking but think shes ugly blablabla meeets hot guy protects stuff blablabla..

but i've just read

Flowers of Evil by Lee Hyeon-sook... its different

Man, Fist of the North Star is one of the best romance stories ever.


Also, most of the Shöjos are the same and there are millions (most over exploited genre of manga).

It isnt in shoujo genre and the romance isn't really girly in my opinion either so lets drop that..

And i know that most shoujos look alike but i just read one that wasn't like that so lets dicuss the better stories in shoujo oke thats why i made this thread

The best anime IMO and in a lot of other people's opinions that is a shoujo would be Clannad/After Story. After watching that, you probably won't feel a lot of emotions for a long time because they'll all be used up from watching it. It'll make the manliest man cry. Go watch it.

Ah, Clannad. That was originally a visual novel which has received a lot of positive reviews.

Hrrm, personally, I don't have any favorite shoujo series but one's that I haven't minded reading (and continuing/finishing) are: Beauty Pop, Girl Got Game, and Crimson High.

i thought clannad was a harem so i totally avoided it. i so hate harems (not reverse harems duh)

lol Not really. It's more like they haven't annoyed me so much that I had to stop in the middle of the series. I've read things like Skip Beat, Meru Puri, L'Corda d'Oro, Nana, Kare Kano (His & Her Circumstance), Ouran Host Club, Hana-Kimi, Fruits Basket, Peach Girl, Fushigi Yugi, etc etc but like I said.... I kind of got tired of the series.

Maybe I should try more mature titles like you. The problem is finding them though.... I mean, there's so much crap to filter through. U_U

Flowers of Evil is mature :/
Wolf Guy (its more for guys imo but it does have romance)
Also some other but im 2 tired to name them =__=

Ive also read other shoujos who like got recommended to me (i ask other people around xD)
Cat street, koukou debut etc.
