Kyo's Poetry - Return to Yesterday
Return to Yesterday
Looking back, briefly, to today,
I see what loss I have accepted,
And I succumb, these feelings,
In which have become gray.
As I write, this fragile prose,
I cry, inside, for yesterday's joy.
For, it was then, where there was light.
But now, I have become my own darkness,
Lost in my eternally blurred sense, of sight.
I seek, no longer for tomorrow,
No longer for now, or for then,
But to be without sorrow.
I seek a yesterday.
I seek a past,
Where my stale memory remembers,
A sky of blue, a tree of green, a flower of red,
But now, I see, that my world has become bland.
I seek,
That I savour this desire,
This desire for yesterday,
A yesterday, where there will be,
No tomorrow, no then, no future.
For my future is bleak.
Commas are intended for dramatic pauses. This might not be really a prose, but then again, I did not concentrate on structure, poetic devices, or rhyming.

I like it
It's sad, but makes you wonder. One of my favorite sort of poems to read. Keep up the good work.
