HOLY COW! you've improve so much dawg! 8D. Great croquis drawings. Try to focus more on the edges and corners of the human body. Don't be afraid to make them more geometrical. C:

    Keep it up dawg!

    doghateburger: Thanks dude!

Working on more croquis. Did these on a4 paper and with a 30 sec clock. They are small because of Conceptarts freaking size limits...

It's tough doing 30 second sketches and it feels like your fighting the clock in most of these. I suggest making sure you include a line for the backbone as your first step for the piece. Finding the curve of the backbone lets you find the flow of the figure. If it makes sense, you can follow the curve all the way down the weight bearing leg as well. This would be the entire kinetic chain of the figure and with that you can see how balanced the character is in their posture. And you can do all of that with one or two quick strokes. After that it's just adding on to the curve to form the rest of the body.

You can take this idea or leave it, it's just how I plan when approaching this type of work.

I've been thinking on how i can improve my style and I think I've found the "answere": Realism!
If i know all of the rules I can bend them to what I would like to see ofcourse i can't draw manga without looking at the manga/marvel/anthro etc. Ofcrouse ill never stop drawing manga, but i'll focus more on realism(colours, people, shading, details etc) till i feel satisfied and then ill put all my efforts into manga/anthro styles...

So here is a drawing i did to improve my realism! Keanu Reeves
