Rumors about the Atari 2600 game ET being buried by the millions in the desert have circulated for years. Now it turns out there is way more truth in this than anyone could imagine. In the 80ís so many copies of the game were returned the company had no choice but to find something to do with them. Basically they had to choose between paying for a warehouse to store a game no one wanted or just get rid of them.
The company chose the latter. However, they did a little more than just bury them in the desert so you can put away your metal detectors and shovels. First they flattened the games into a pancake with a steam roller. Next they encased them in concrete. Finally they buried the whole blob somewhere in the Nevada or Arizona desert.
anyway, i think this does prove that several copies have escaped a certain death.
i mean Spoony may have played it on a emulator, but where do you think they ripped the ROM from?
The question is WHO ripped this horrible abomination that can be barely called a game?
