    Hamachi's Art - Don't look at Page 2; I dare you; AHAHAHA!!!

I had to get you in here somehow!! xD ... Anyways I haven't actually been drawing much, but here are some doodlings from Psychology, during which I repeatedly become extremely artistically inspired for no reason. It's really weird.

    Crystal Mage

    Priest/Light Mage

    Centaur

    Angel

    Mechanic (luv Last Exile :3)

Came up with all of those. The next one I copied to feed my habit of capturing style off awesome artists:

Don't know anatomy well enough to do extreme perspectives yet, and knowledge of faces isn't very good so I'm doing full-body poses. Comments, advice, practice ideas, etc. & etc. are always great! =]

Hahaha! I doodled in class because I was bored but you get inspiration??? That's so weird alright. As for your drawing, yeah, you need to work on your anatomy. Umm, some quick things I noticed - the arms on the centuar seem too short, imo. If you elongate them a bit longer, I think it'll be better off.

For that mechanic (second to last picture), the angle for the leg that's not touching the floor should be changed. The distance from the leg on the ground to the one that isn't should either be increased. Right now, it looks like his legs are going in one direction and he's twisting his waist to work on something in another direction. That's damn uncomfortable in real life. You will need to widen the base that he's standing on, so to speak, if you want him in a more natural state.

Your first drawing looks all squashed. You probably know you need to work on it a bit more, right? Your last drawings the best. :thumbs up:

    Thanks for the C&C Rio!!

Hrmm, yes, I think I will work on anatomy a bit more. I stand corrected on the centaur thingy. Believe or not I actually did plan out the second last to be exactly how you described it, but if it still doesn't look convincing I probably need to work on my approach, heh. Tried to make the first one 7-or-8-years-old kid from a top-down view, but then it somehow turned to a front view which probably messed up proportions a bit. :P

Suddenly decided I wanted to learn how to draw foxes. Random fox thingy with pictures taken from Google Images, lol:

Never knew how to draw fur, but when trying just this once I found out I could. Awesomesauce.

Hey, thanks man. I used a hard pencil to get the outlines down, a sharp 4B to lay down the (experimental) midtones and a sharp 6B to get the dark bits. This is on printing paper though so everything should be scaled harder on drawing... :P

Cool, I like the texture on this last one. I think the next step is to start thinking of the fur less as individual strands and more like clumps. If you check out experienced animal artists, you can see that the way they draw fur is in groups instead of just fluffy all over. If you make the fur distribution even all over, your animal usually ends up having the texture of a harp seal, haha. But this is an awesome start, definitely! *can't draw fur well at all*

So you bring lot of mechanic pencil to your campus?
Oww I never used 6B, so this what its look like.
Umm about printing paper I feel more confidence draw on it than drawing paper.I think printing paper not that hard for drawing except you used to use tablet.

@Seefy: Thanks for the advice! The way I approached it actually involved layering strands down in C-shaped half-rings, as I noticed short dog fur would do that sort of thing with a collar or wrinkle. I'm a bit inexperienced so it might've just turned out looking random, haha.

@Reset: Yeah, my college sells art supplies too so I get them at the store. Lol, I didn't mean "hard" as in high difficulty. I meant that drawing paper is rougher and takes more lead off your pencil, so all the lead I used on printing should be scaled harder on drawing to compensate. xD

I'm gonna turn this sketch into a drawing - girl waiting for ship to arrive. Corrections now would be better than later, so, any advice before I add details? No references used btw ._.

For example: The chin's kinda funky and I'm wondering if I should make it more feminine. Something about the way the torso relates to the hips doesn't look quite right yet, but I'm not sure what. Do the shoulders look ok to you? (no collarbone present) ... and yeah, stuff like that.

Gaaaah nobody looked at my sketch... here's a very minor update on previous pic, just to show I'm not being lazy. Well, maybe I am. But less lazy. So if you don't give your opinions I might wander off into a corner and commit seppuku. Consider yourselves warned!

This is done digitally? What prog are you using? (sry if you have answered this before, I'm just too rushed for time to read everything before posting this)

So far it looks good. I would prefer a more feminine pose though as this seems like a very manly pose (to me). I don't know much about your char but is she tom boy-ish to begin with? I like the arms and the flow of her hair. Body needs to be more shapely (?) as it looks rather flat (not just the torso but her hips as well unless, like I mentioned before, she is a tomboyish girly figure and character.)

    Cheers!
