Myfanwy cracked her knuckles as she finally made it to the fight. Stroding up to the pirate closest to Akajii, she slammed her foot into his stomach.

The pirates were pretty panicked. Logically speaking, it probably would have made more sense for the two survivors to run, or attack the Monks. But people don't think logically when crazy kung fu bitches start beating you to death, and then a sea monster comes Up From The Depths.
So they attacked the sea monster. I mean, why not? Why not Zoidberg?
Their swords bounced harmlessly off of Zoi-Akaiji's armored carapace.
Ganzorig stood back up and swung at the nearby pirate with his guan do. Long story short, the dude died.

Akaiji channeled about ten minutes worth of mental preperation, a lifetimes worth of hard graft and sacred duty, and the swiftest, heaviest strike he could manage down onto the poor pirate's head.

Needless to say, they basically exploded into a shower of dead bits.
'Slightly killed' was not one of the crab's settings.
And so the group of kung-fu beauties, drunkards, and their giant enemy crab went along through the pirate fortress, beating down the largely disorganized pirate resistance.
The fortress itself was built into the caverns that ran through the tiny mountain on the island, eventually coming out into a series of wooden walkways and buildings built into the cliff-face on the exterior. In a sub-cavern from there, the group encountered what appeared to be slave-pens. There were only six slaves chained to the walls at present, but given how large the chamber was, and how many shackles there were, the place could easily hold a hundred or so.
The prisoners were chained to walls and gagged. Most were young adults, as one might expect for people likely to be sold into labor or sexual slavery, but curiously one of the captives was a older woman, evidently in her late 40s and not particularly attractive, and clearly ill-suited for any of the normal occupations people sold into slavery might find themselves in.
WAT DO.
Yu was all for going to see if the slaves had any useful information. If they didn't, then they could leave them be.
"Maybe some of those people know something."
How hard could this be?
"They sure could. Try to go easy on them, though, okay? They're a bit more than roughed up already..." Megaera stated, generally concerned for the mental well-being of all fellow humans.
"Great idea. How about you listen to my plan: Ungag them first. They aren't going to do much talking with stuff in their mouth."
Yu wanted to get this done as quickly as possible. The faster they did this, the sooner she could learn more about those ghosts.
