I don't think so... since in Japan, there are tons of flavor and ramen variety. Each store have their own specialty and there are tons of ramen store (in big city), so...

But I would still learn key phrases in japanese. Something like, "Can you tell me where to find ramen?" and stuff like that.

Yeah, may be ^_^ Oh, and if you somehow get bored with ramen from the store or vending machine ramen, there's always instant ramen. And there's tons of flavor (for instant ramen) in Japan. There's only one flavor in here, and it's tastes bad...

There's an Asian market in Wichita that has like two aisles of instant ramen and another aisle of those cellophane noodles. Then they have packages of just the noodles so you can make the real stuff at home, and cooking classes every month so you know how. I miss it. ):
