Basically. Although, through the magic of timezones, I did my Black Friday shopping online on Wednesday. :U I hate the idea of Black Friday, but I won't lie about caving in this year—it's the only chance I gave at affording some items.
It's basically an economy boost day. Everyone starts making heavy discounts, and thus tons of people with the money to spend go and impulse buy.
There's also Cyber Monday.
