Life is shitty because you make it shitty; because you settle. Your dreams fall to the wayside in favor of the immediate solution, or the safe solution. You forget what drives you forward in the midst of blockades and curveballs. On the battlefield, you can't stop. You don't find a nice foxhole to rest in and wait till it all blows over, because that's what everyone does. And when everyone waits for things to settle, nothing is accomplished. Never settle. Because if you settle in today, you'll find you're settled in tomorrow. If you take a job that you don't really want to do because it pays well, next thing you know you'll be waking up 10-20 years down the line with a nice house, a couple cars, a spouse and maybe some kids. And then you'll have fucked your life right up, because then you can't chase your dreams. You'll have responsibilities, you'll have a family to take care of, bills to pay, loans to pay off. You won't have time for your dreams and you'll be sorry. Instead of curling up in that foxhole to rest, take a deep breath and push on. Even if you're reduced to a crawling pace, keep it up with rifle in hand and canteen at your belt. Push forward, and carve a path for those behind you. Follow those who have pushed beyond you, but never EVER stop moving. Move up on the front lines and chase your dreams right up to the day you die. In 80 years if you still haven't accomplished what you wanted to, keep at it. When you're lying on your death bed, dream about the future. When the doctor tells you you're not much longer for this world, chase your dreams just a little bit harder, a little bit faster. Whatever you do, don't lose hope, and never lose sight of your dreams. Remember what I've just said, and hold whatever meaning it gives to you close to your heart. In your final moments you will be glad you did.
