Pun Incorporated- Yes or no?
When I write for my Manga I am (trying) to make, I have a very important question. I feel as if Action comics get very dry if it is nothing but hack and slash, bullet time madness. Here is my questions though.
Would puns, depending upon circumstance, be a good thing to add in to take breaks between the action?

If you're going to add puns, then you should use puns when there's action and when there isn't any action going on otherwise, it's going to be a weird mix of serious then comedy repeated. It's going to make your story feel disjointed in other words.

I would say it depends on how the puns fit the characters, in my opinion... The old Dirty Pair anime did an excellent job of jokes, for instance, because the two main characters' personalities clashed with each other. Samurai Champloo is a more modern example.
Giving us some kind of idea of what you're actually thinking of would have helped alot, through, mind. x_x
