Ugh. We have to take my dog to get put down because he's becoming senile. I've had him for 13 years this just doesn't feel right.

This is why I'm never going to have a dog again. Unless I can have a dog that can live longer than myself and is pretty selfaware of what is going on, so I can make him suffer with my own death.
Yeah its just that my dog has survived so many problems I felt like I was going to outlive him.

Its not a matter of that he is senile and doing really crazy things. He's just lost his mind.

Im not sure if its the same but my first pet was a hamster i had for 2 years and i had to put it down too... i was 15/16 at that time but i think my vets have never seen a teenager cry so much there...
@Bya: I know that feeling.
We had to put down the dog I had since I was a baby, a couple years ago. He had a huge tumor in his throat that we didn't discover until it was too late. The tumor blocked up his throat so he'd just throw up all his food. He was basically starving to death and could hardly breathe.
Urgh... Tumours... I can only think of one thing that scares me more and that is Ulcers, not the ones you get in your mouth but the flesh eating variety :s
