I'll weigh on this properly tonight or tomorrow. But really it's a question of both metaphysics and to an extent epistemology. I think any question of the former invariably involves elements of the latter. What's real and how do we know?
i agree that reality is what doesn't go away when you stop believing in it. and i also believe that truth isn't solely based on laws of science. if thought is the undesigned product of cerebral chemical reactions why should we trust that we can think reasonably about anything but survival.
