Haha, sorry. That method looks very effective, a massive improvement!
Try drawing the head at some different angles, using the same proportions

    SPOILER! :

The eyes are a little high and very small for the head size if you're going for a mange feel (which by the looks of the rest, you are). Also, eyes only have one eyelength in between them; yours have about three. The ear is much too high and the nose looks deflated. I don't know what you were really going for for the nose. The whole chin area is pretty strange. You should look up refs for cleft chins.

Yet to see a definitive tutorial on hair (most seem to deal with a couple of different styles, rather than explaining the basics thoroughly), but this one isn't bad. The example hairstyle is a bit wacky, but they explain sections and things pretty well.

you got talent bro. keep it up...

we might need to see more your original stuff/ overall skill to size you up and pinpoint what you can improve on...
referencing isn't bad, its very good but its not the best way to get better (not the fastest)

i think the fastest way to get better is getting better at basics and gesture drawings.

if you're like me who is lazy, you can use charts like these to your advantage. and pssst... don't copy them... observe them and how the artists sees his art manifest. if you get what i mean...
    SPOILER! :

tips on eyes and how they slant with different views.

for hair here is basic stuff that helped me lots. my best tip is to not dwell on details, be basic...
    SPOILER! :

    same goes for body...
    SPOILER! :

see here that he starts with lots and lots of stick drawings... now that's basic but you get to practice very important things like proportion, fluidity, positioning of body parts, and assess overall look of the drawing

here he breaks down body in different masses and shows how they are proportionate to each other
some tips on body differences between gals and guys

now apply that to the more curvy, mellow gentle form of female anatomy

like what famous da artist says in her tut
Don't do the details until you have a solid structure done ,otherwise everything will fall apart.
if you get what she means

ur no beginner, i swear but i think you got a great beginning lol...
