I button mash. But I'm really coordinated in my technique.

The strength of button mashing is the randomness so if you apply any sort of calculation or strategy you lose the only thing you have going for you.

I used to play svc at a pizza place here and one guy would literally rotate the joystick 360 degrees super fast and just mash all the buttons and he would get wins because everybody was new to the game and he was doing really wild stuff on accident. Like you would just be like ok I'll block and he'd start flying out with overheads or you'd get thrown and it was like jesus had taken the wheel.
He stopped winning after we figured the game out but its not like you button mash if you want prolonged success.

Well there's not much in the way with guards. Basically if you can smack the sword out of the way before you can get hit then you've guarded it. It depends on your stance too. There's three, the high, medium and low stance which is how you hold your sword. You can probably find images of these on google. I can go into more depth about it if you want.
Is there anything specific you want to know about striking because it's a pretty broad topic
edit: steam or skype?
