@Bacon: Thankyou! And you're right about the fire one, it was more experimental though, I had no idea what I wanted to do for it, and ended up not liking that one that much. I am glad that you even recognized it's fire though, that's the issue I was more worried about haha, whew.
@Sy: Yea Sketchup can really help with blocking in quick environment. But you lose control with placing things quickly, unlike in Max. Takes a bit to get fluent at.
Does it have a grid and grid snaps? Or would you really just recommend Max for details?
I'd recommend Max for details, yes. They're easier to place...not necessarily easier to make. And I don't recommend working between Sketchup and Max, because Sketchup will really fk your geometry once you import it to Max. You'll have tris and other things up the ass. But you can bring things from Max into Sketchup just fine.
That bottom right one is super super SUPER SUPER cool. It looks like an awesome version of a Haversian system. (Aaaaaah, anatomy is taking over my lifeeee)
Oh so Sketchup is good for characters? (Since it gives me those animatable tris :P... JK)
xD Never use Sketchup for characters. And thankyou Seefs. Man, I really find that one my least fave though, but holy crap I guess it's good haha.
I think I like it so much because it has a heavy radial balance. It just draws me in, you know?
