nice!! i suck at 3d, btw you should be happy, for the contest! Its clear as day that your was picked out with a very good reason! ITS AWSOME! ....and dont get this the wrong way but you had quite the competition!!!
Thanks Baron. And yea probably lol, I'm going for that semi-cartoony look on this model.
So, I decided not to use that old Sketchup model because the style of the gun didn't match with the character. Instead I decided to challenge myself and make a new gun from scratch and practice my modeling skills.
This was completely modeled in Max going off of the concept I drew in like...3mins as best I could.
WIP
I'll upload the Zbrush turntable scene in a bit, but here's a peek.
*EDIT: Zbrush Screens Here

@Gedeon: Hell yea I had competition! Most of those guys are pros and stuff lol. Thanks man.
I don't have a name for it. So I'll just call it the GAz-9
Either way, gun model is done.
I tweaked the center, the grip, and the trigger area as best I could.
Took it into Zbrush and sculpted in some details. Mainly screws and the ejection slot.
Here's some images.
Flat material - Zbrush screen cap
Zbrush screen cap
These are screen caps from inside 3Ds Max, not Zbrush.
I have the end of the gun rotatable so the stock can be flipped around to either full or compact. Making this sort of an assault rifle and SMG in one.
Click the picture for full size.
This gun will be on my soldier model I've been working on.
I'm thinking of texturing this but eh. Enjoy.
Gah. I forgot to do an AO Render for my gun from Max! BAH. Well here it is from behind and folded.
In the meantime I was going through my old pics on Tokyopop and found this old one.
From 2008
And I was like, Whoa. I should model that!. And so that's what I did. Started it today.
First I went ahead and re-drew it. front and side view.
Then took those into Max and set em up on planes, and got modeling.

This was just a texture test after I practiced UV unwrapping. I wanted to see how it would look and if I got the unwrapping right. The seams are still kinda screwed up and I'm still confused xD..but it came out pretty good for a test.
**Update.
UVW unwrapping done for the body. I think I got it pretty good for a beginner.

So whoa. I haven't updated with any drawings recently. And this new stuff was actually done like a week ago. Either way, here's the last update I did.
In the original pic the bunny had a pistol of some sort, I decided to change that into a revolver, so I did some concept sketches to model on.
And after a few hours, I got this.
All quads I think. There might be like 1-3 triangles in the mesh, but hidden.
This is like awesome, are just giving him the backpack? cause in that one shot it looks like he's wearing a bullet proof vest too.
I really dont know where you get the determination to sit there forever and do all this detail work and not just fucking shoot some one. Amazing. (its a compliment i swear. and not a gay one surprisingly)
I think your bunnys cheeks could be fuller and a more pronounced nose.
