Did this piece for ma nana before she left back home about a week or two ago.

Materials and process:

-Random piece of hard cardboard I found lying around, and thought would make for a good board
-Laid down some painter tape around the edges to leave a boarder when I was done
-Laid down two thin coatings of acrylic gesso with a piece of cardboard I also just found lying around... I didn't have a brush, but I did get an interesting texture using the ripped cardboard.
-the colors are just cheap watercolor paints
-the kanji was done with india ink and a brush.

Here's a project I started last week for 2D Design class.

The goal is to only use 3 analogous colors to paint the piece, including the use of white and black to tint and shade.
The hard part is getting the focus of the piece to pop out from the background, which I'm not having a big problem at all doing.

It's a crow. Acrylic paint.

Here's the giant mess of the process. None of this is for the background.


And here's the piece.
Figured I'd turn the background into this 3D kind of diamond shape, but also go from dark to light from the bottom up. I like how it turned out.


Should be done soon.

Here's an old piece out of the many that I just took a pic of to show someone. Sooo I figured I'd post it here too. It's small, but whatever, it's too big to scan in and I got a shit camera.

But yea anyways. Anybody know who this is?

Haha, darn, figured there'd be a few people who knew who he was. Also thankyou.
The painting of the crow is finished, but the pic quality is bad. I shall get a better one soon!

For now, here is the crow painting, and an older piece I posted a WIP of wayyyyy back, but never posted the finished version of.
It's currently framed and hung up in my mom's room, lol. Pretty big too.
