Area 51 exists. I'm pretty sure the state of Nevada also exists, but don't hold me to that one.

First, Israel is mostly democratic with theist facets, and there is still struggle within Israel about it's nature, between the theocratic right and the democratic left.

The antisemetic conspiracy that claims that the Jews are aspiring to take control of the world was concieved when the National Socialist (Nazi) party began amassing power in Germany. They also related the Jews with communism and the poor state of economy of Germany at that time. Because the Jewish didn't work in physic jobs such as farming or building, but rather banking and generally the market- it was the perfect thing to latch the antisemitism on. Truth is, it's just the fear and hatred towards the different (the Orthodox Jews wore their attires back then just like they do now) that drove people to despise them so much, not to mention their desparateness created by the terrible economy. The conspiracy theory about the Jews is just another leftover fabrication made in the days of Nazi Germany. I'm actually surprised there are remnants of this conspiracy at all after all this time.

Israel is by far not controlling the USA, but rather the other way around. Besides, the USA is just siding with Israel since it's the only ally and influence they can have in the middle east.
According to what both of us say, the conspiracy theory should be that the Americans are trying to take over the world, not the Jews. :P

Israel is mostly democratic to a point. But I'll grant you that there is an internal struggle.

It's older than that.

And with rampant capitalism, too. It's one of the hallmarks of fascism and something you see alive and well in America (and Israel) today. The total demonization of the Other. Obama is at once a plutocratic robber baron and a communist. A communist and a nazi. An atheist and a Muslim. So on and so forth.

If you think organized antisemitism began with Nazi Germany you need to learn history ASAP. Nazism was a symptom, not a cause, of a much older problem in Europe and especially Germany.

I mean, hell, you can find lots of really creepy parallels in looking at Isabella and Ferdinand's decree of the expulsion of the Jews, and general Spanish policy towards conversos and moriscos.

Any politician who would dare to deny support to Israel, even moral support, is pretty much committing political suicide. America has a lot of influence over Israel, but I'm pretty sure - and do correct me if I am wrong - an Israeli politician can be openly critical of America without ruining their career. No American can openly criticize Israel without dooming their political career.
America is beholden to Israel. Israel may not be able to influence America to support it more than it already does, but it can rest assured that America will never, ever, call it out on its bullshit or demand it stop being a fascist apartheid state.

Catch 22. The reason Israel is the only sovereign nation in the Middle East willing to deal with us is because we so unconditionally support Israel. It's like being best friends with the school bully and wondering why no one else wants to be your friend.
Also a, perhaps the, major reason for America's massive pro-Israel lobby is fundamentalist Christianity. It's actually insane right-wing Christians, not Jews, that make up the bulk of America's pro-Israel lobby.

I was being facetious.

I don't want this thread to turn into a derail about Israel. But it is worth noting that Israel is a monstrous nation, like America, and like America is a threat to every human being on this planet. Conspiracy theories regarding Israel, like those regarding America, cannot easily be dismissed out of hand because both nations have a long and colorful history of subtle evil.

Of course, that's not to say anything about ZOG conspiracy theories. Israel != Judaism, no matter how much the pro-Israel people like to claim otherwise.

Well of course it's older than that, and when I said 'remnants' I was refering to the conspiracy about the banks, not the actual antisemitism.

I highly doubt that, as America is what is giving Israel political influence in the middle east. The only ones that criticize America in Israel are the primitive and ignorant religious extremists who'd rather put their trust in 'God' rather than the US.

I highly doubt that. Ever since the Cold War America has sided with Israel in order to gain a foothold in the middle east and hasn't deviated from doing so ever since. (Of course there were other motives as well but that was the main one)

Apparently some people believe the (discredited) Orgone Theory. While it makes a great Kate Bush song, it's a truly bizaare thing to believe. Underlying sexual energy of the universe? It's a classic case of projection.

Then again, the same people who believe in Orgone Theory also tend to believe in chemtrails...
