Anyone can make tedious rip-off crap, but nobody else can make such hilariously super tedious rip-off crap with such delusions of grandeur. The only way I can really describe D2 is as what would happen if George Lucas watched The Thing and then played MGS1 in rapid succession, then thought "Yeah I could totally do that!".
