Hair coloring tutorial

I'm so horribly stuck on hair coloring specifically. I've tried my own experiments and tutorials but I just can't seem to find what works.
Suggest some new tutorials for me please?

What kind of coloring style are you going for? Cel or painterly style? Also, got a sample of your attempt?
