Everything's translatable into one language or the other, it's the meanings that are lost with that translation, essentially.

@Clock: Right. I'm not disagree with you (or with Cora), but! If culture shapes language, which it does, and ... Fuck. I can't remember where this was going. Anyway, my point was something like this. Spanish didn't originate in South America, but in Europe. Native Spanish speakers have a more European mentality than a Mayan one, yeah?

Well, in first place we don't speak Spanish, that's something that sadly USA people have named because no one really bothered to corrected them. We speak Castellano, its one of the many branches of Spanish tongues from Spain. Most of those tongues are dead now, and I think the few that are still in use are Castellno (what you guys call spanish) and Catalan.
And yeah, the language was a mix of different tongues, between arab, latin, and more goth tongues. But also the culture chose, the culture adapt and the culture retain.

Guys I was too nervous and can't fall asleep what should I do...
I have German state exam in a while, which is 3 hours long...
And I won't even have had 5 hours of sleep... the exam is 50% of my final grade and I have to do it good since I don't have good grades...but I can't fall asleep ;___;
