Japanese is incredibly difficult. Unless you happen to be an uber genius, self-teaching it isn't going to work

Well there should be no problems with me self teaching myself it then plus I have contacts that know Japanese, if I run into trouble they are just a phone call away

I took a Japanese class for two years during HS, and it wrecked my shit the second year, mainly cause the teacher was quizzing us about stuff we just learned the day beforehand. A looooot of people flunked out, including me, cause I just said fuckit.
It really is tough shit, especially once you start having to memorize kanji, which is impossible to do completely.

Kanji's not so bad. But then I'm pretty good at memorizing so... :P My problem: keeping motivated to keep studying. By myself. :|

If you're serious about learning, then I suggest using kanji flashcards:

Volume 2
Volume 3

Unfortunately, there's no way around learning them aside from memorization or actual everyday use. :l

To show you that my sense of smell is trustworthy, I have consulted with a professional and well known doctor who performed tests on me. Here is a scanned picture of the paper outlining my tests:



Another thing, if you took a shower and are wearing clean clothes, it may not be body odor. It is very possible that your cologne gives off a horrid stench that makes me want to commit suicide. What brand are you using?

Smell is subjective, and in the nose of the beholder, therefore I declare that though you shower daily, you reek of foul chemical fragrances. I demand this 'Doctor Butts' do some more sniffing around before exhaling a biased conclusion.

That makes perfect sense, considering Yves Saints Lauren ran over my dog, so naturally I would be repulsed by the smell. Experiences can affect the way you perceive a smell because you relate that smell with that moment. For example, I can't stand my own perfume because it reminds me of the first day of school.
