If you want to learn how to color skin, you're better off just studying color theory in general. Unless you're going to be drawing characters in flat, even lighting against white backgrounds, you'd be surprised at how skin changes color based on the surrounding environment.

I think I'd be better off studying general color theory, thank you. I'll try to keep the background thing in mind, as well.
