I've started coloring my drawings, and I'm having trouble with skin tones, flesh tones, whatever you want to call them.Could you give me some basic ideas of what colors I could use for the flesh of my characters?
The more educational way of doing apples suggestion would be to get a photo with the skin tone you want, guess the color using the colorwindow in photoshop(or whatever program you use), then check with the eyedropper tool to see if you were right. Btw, don't forget to set the eyedropper to something else than point sample, use the 3by3 average or even the 5by5 average, otherwise you'll just sample a single pixel and it will rarely be the color you expected.

I don't have photoshop, or any of the programs that some of you people use, I'm more of a traditional artist.
Skin tones are a tough thing to master for any medium of artist. Usually it's a varied mixture of a bunch of different colors, and it depends on the lighting too.
Some references.
