    Weird. It worked fine for me when I had the trial of Ubuntu 11.04 going. I just opened it from my downloads folder and went from there.

    This site has some tests of Sai on Wine. Apparently the test results are old, but Sai did work on various versions of Ubuntu. If nothing else works, try dual-booting with a tested version of Ubuntu.
