Man, Clock you sound like a bit of a grinch. I think having a tree is nice because little kids have fun helping decorate it and it looks nice when you have some presents to put under it. Though Now I am older, live in a small apartment and don't get many presents we don't have a proper tree. We've got this funny little carboard one so we can't decorate it.

I agree with Inksprout, the tree is just something that I always loved, and still do.

I agree with Kenzie and Ink. The tree isn't just a thing, its an activity to do with faily and/or friends. Besides, Clock, you said yourself art is about the process. Christmas trees are an artform.

My family took ages to get us a tree this year, and were thinking about not getting one. Even though I was partly not that bothered, I really wanted one mostly because it's tradition, makes it feel christmassier, and I wanted to have all the presents underneath it. (Because it looks cool, and at the moment they're taking up space in my room). We have a tree now so its all good

My tree HAS ROTATING COLORED LIGHTS.

And I need to turn it on.

That's as Christmasy as I'm getting cuz I can't afford the electric bill.

It's understandable if Clock can't relate to the Yuletime Tree because it simply was never in the society that heavily influenced his culture. They did, however, have a similar log. But, they do not believe in our white-bearded man to leave presents under the Evergreen of Joy - they believe in the Three Wise Men to come and deliver treats, and in January, not correlating with the solstice. Their traditions are much similar to the Germanic wooden shoe practice.
