    Portfoilo Help.

I want to make a mix of both arts of comic designs and game art designs for my portfoilo for college because I want to be a comic book artist and game artist. So how do I do that?

I believe it's a good idea to have a bit of everything to show your skills, traditional, digital, comic style, paintings. I have also been told my a fellow artist that It's always a good idea to put in some copies of the masters too so leonardo da vinci and michelangelo etc

You should definitely check out some websites on how to make a portfolio

On the school that I wanna attend: The Animation Workshop, Viborg, Denmark. (I want to become a character animator) You also have to send in a portofolio. Which have to include 15 drawings in different categories... Here are some of them I can rememeber:

You definitely want to show them that you have a good understanding, and are very good at proportions.

Also, you need to be able to pose you character in some way, and then make him all black, so it's just a silhouette, and still be able to see what kind of feeling the character is spreading. Is it anger, happiness, sadness. You need to be able to see that out of the silhouettes.

Then ofcourse their is freestyle. Where you draw whatever you like. If it's manga you draw that or whatever.

But you also need to be able to draw from life. To be able to draw portraits for example. If it's not something you have to be able to do, then be able to do it anyways, because it helps you in so many ways, in so many other styles of art.

Is there more, is there more.. Nope.. Can't remember more.

Otherwise, check out the schools website, and see if theres something on there. Or maybe call them and hear about it. I think they would be glad to help. Or simply just send an e-mail.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

You need to include a few comic pages along with 3D models for those comic book characters if you're going into game assets art, or include variants of concept characters and creatures from the book, the book showcasing the most developed variation, if you're going into conceptual game art.
