Never used an Intuos4 so I can't say. But if you can, buy the Vistablet for size now and save up for a Cintiq model later, the best being the 24HD, which is what Jaittaceti is outfitting itself with once we set off to college.

I actually prefer smaller sized tablets, because I'd prefer to use a finer motor range of movement. My arms are too clumsy for all that giant tablet business. XD

I am not buying a $1000+ tablet unless I know I'm going to be a professional artist later in life. xD
I suppose I'll be doing some heavy comparisons between the two now though. Vista VS Intuos4, I mean.

Yall wack. Yo Gunz have you ever sculpted on a Cintiq? They had a tech demo and hands-on at my Best Buy and they were running Sculptris. It was only the 12wx but it felt great - image that on a screen about 6 times the size.

Yea that'd be pretty cool, but I don't know. That's a helluva lot of money.

Yeah but I mean if you're going to make video games or concept art for a living, for the rest of your life, it's worth the big bucks before you get into the industry big time.

I spent enough on my Intuos4, I'm fine for now. The industry standard isn't the Cintique anyway. In most cases you see them used at conferences or conventions.
