I liked the surface of my Graphire4 better than the Intuous4. The Intuous takes greater pen pressure (no, I'm serious) to make a thick line, and the natural, paper-like feel on the surface that they market as a good thing was never a plus-point for me. I like the feeling of smooth plastic better, and the textured surface wears down the nibs. :/

XD But needless to say, I'm used to my Intuous4 now, and I like it. Like Mac vs PC, it's all a matter of preference.

The intuos4 takes a HELLUVA lot of pressure for dark and thick lines, even if you set the tool to be like that.

It hurt my hand at first. :/ But yeah, I turned the sensitivity up, and it was still really hard to get the thick lines. DX

Interesting... I've never had issues making thick black lines on my Intuos4. Maybe I just naturally have a heavy hand. Compared to my ancient tablet (seriously... it was like 11 years old) I barely have to push. I actually had to turn down the sensitivity on it. :X Regardless, I would still recommend an Intuos over a Bamboo if you can afford it. If you're going to get the Bamboo at least get the $99 one since it comes with a pen that has two usable ends unlike the cheaper versions. It's annoying having to select eraser every time I want to erase something.

Same. Though I think it's just me forgetting that there's an eraser on the other end! lol

Try a VisTablet. It's what I use, it's large, cheap, and has more pressure sensitivity than the Wacom Bamboo Pen. It's really great, and comfy too. :3

Is it better then an Intuos4? Because I think between Christmas and savings I can buy the Small if not the Medium...
