As quickly as Lucia had destroyed them, more Zombies shuffled, charged, and scrambled to replace the fallen, the horde swinging and biting at Mishkala and Lucia.
In spite of the protection of Pelor, one of the Bloodthirsty Zombies even managed to take a chunk out of Lucia!

Mishkala is hit 3 times, once by a Bloodthirsty Zombie.
Mishkala takes 16 damages! Mishkala also takes one point of Constitution damage and any resulting effects!
Lucia is hit once, by a Bloodthirsty Zombie!
Lucia takes 11 damages! Lucia also takes one point of Constitution damage and any resulting effects!

Lucia was looking hurt and worn out, still blew the shit out of the zombies though.

Mishkala just continued to lash out with her claw. They were hopelessly cornered, so there wasn't much else she could do at this point.

The horde was finally thinning. Still, two of the things managed to take another big bite out of Mishkala and Lucia alike.

Mishkala's endless, frantic claw attacks were about all her panicked brain could perform. One-on-one and ready to pounce, against a living opponent, she was a true demon to behold... but beset from all sides by those... things...

As the horde thinned it became increasingly easy to keep track of each of the Zombies and to maneuver. Eight of the unliving things attempted, and failed to hurt Mishkala, and those attacking Lucia met with similar results.
