I went back and played the early Megamans and boy they are REALLY annoying. The limitations of the NES really hit hard. Back then having more than 4 sprites on screen would cause lag and flickering. Oh how far we've come.

I never liked the megamans games that much because they seemed to challenge my ability to memorize and perform trial-and-error as much as my ability to jump and shoot quickly.
