So I start getting back into Halo: Anniversary this morning, pretty fun, as usual.
Then I get to a checkpoint and I'm like 'meh, I dunno about these new graphics, gonna play it on classic for a little bit'.
And so I press the graphics switch button, and it switches to new graphics, cause it turns out I was playing the classic all along.
The point is. That decade+ old game has aged extremely well.
Yeah, I think the original xbox stuff in particular still looks pretty damn nice. Panzer Dragoon Orta or Doom 3 could easily look at home on modern shiz-niz. It probably doesn't help that the Cube was the second most powerful, but mostly focused on non-realistic artsy games, through... And the PS2 was only just slightly better than the Dreamcast in processor terms.
Hype is a great thing in hindsight, ain't it? :p

Bought Army of Two: 40th Day after deciding to go against the negs I've been hearing, just cause I wanted to have one of the things a major influence on my art style worked on.
I love this game.
I do not.
Hey guys can you recommend any good adventure games for the PC, preferrably new-ish (because I like pretty graphics)? Stuff with a good real-time battle system and a design that isn't boring, like Alice: Madness Returns and DMC4?
