I own a DS Lite and is plays GBA games. And if you enjoy GBA games so much why not just own a GBA, or a DS...

DSi doesn't play GBA games. And that makes perfect sense. Why complain about the lack of 1.5 gen backwards compatibility? I'd rather they work on improving the system in other ways. It's like how people are complaining the Wii U won't have GCN compatibility. Of course not!

Yes, PS3 plays PS1 games, but outside of that no console has had double-backwards compatibility. Xbox 360 can't even play all Xbox original games.

I would buy a GBA, but it's missing functions that I enjoy on other handhelds, such as a memory card slot, and wifi ability.
Which is why I have a PSP, it's much more practical.

But with that said, I have owned a GBA and a DS at one point, and all I ever played on em were GBA games, except for Metroid Prime Hunters, and a few FF games. Oh, and one Guilty Gear game. But that was it.
Why not buy a GBA if I'm just going to play GBA games? Simple. Bigger, brighter, clearer, screen.
