I prefer to spend my money on artbooks instead of games... :P
Since DC Universe Online is free now, I'm trying that out.

A friend is a pirate, I just went to his home to have a first impression of the game and see if it worth it or not. And I think I'm not going to buy it or have it (it's not BAD like Oblivion, but the first impression I had, was that the game is still have a lot of stuffs I dislike, and I'm not the kind of person who like open worlds to be played alone).

I prefer any game that has extensive single player, since I have terrible internet that stops me from accessing more or less any online content, including multiplayer

I like extensive single play, who doesn't? My problem with games like the elder scrolls and fallout, is that it's a open world. And I fucking hate doing retarded side quests (excuse me good man, could you help me to safe my song who was kidnapped by a troll. Yes i know you have a quest to save the kingdom and our lifes, but my son need your help). Also because I hate how it feels the movement (it feels like you are floating, like in fallout 3, but I want to feel like my character is attached to the ground, like in Red Dead Redemption or Dark Souls).
So for me, a single player game play is awesome, I love it. But this kind of games are not for me, because I really have no interest in helping npc's who are not going to help me back (in a way that is not rewards), that the movement feels awkward and that combat is some times annoying (or I suck at it... I don't know, I didn't play it for to long to find it).
Of course, if you liked Oblivion this game is going to be your new Porn. And if you like Fallout 3, too. The game is not BAD (or I didn't saw it to bad), is that the game has elements, that I care, not well polished.

Well I loved Morrowind but I have never managed to get into Oblivion. I loved Fallout New Vegas but due to technical difficulty I never managed to play FO3. Since I am meant to be learning about creating art assets for games I kind of feel like I'm obliged to get a game as visually stunning as Skyrim promises to be though. I like doing some side quests but I agree that some are annoying. Fall Out new vegas side quests were good because the stories were usually really interesting to me and I loved exploring all the wacky/scary/ruined locations. Perhaps its because I have a fairly large focus on exploring the open world settings from an artistic perspective that I like open world games so much. :3

If its from artistic perspective I love way more Dark Souls (Anor Londo kick major architectonic asses).
