I suppose when I say I draw a lot, I actually mean that I spend hours and hours working on something because I am exactly the same - a perfectionist. A lot of artists are. I pretty much cried the first time I had to do a blind contour drawing. You just kind of have to train yourself to let these things go and loosen up. Blind contour drawings and gestures are actually a pretty good way to do this, as well as sharpen your skills. Not to mention they're just plain fun.
As I mentioned before, you might want to make a thread in the Critique Corner. It's always fun to see other people share their art, and I'm sure there will be people (including myself) who would be willing to help you improve.
