Macross Plus

It's come to my attention that people haven't seen this... and I have no idea why. It's pretty easy to find, it has nothing to do with the main Macross series, and is probably one of the finest anime going IMO. So I just sorta assumed people had seen it. But they haven't. :/

MP is basically about two rival test pilots fighting over a girl and a fighter project at the same time. Moreover, the girl is heavily involved with a computer generated pop singer, and stuff gets a little out of control when the singing AI she helped construct falls madly in love with both of the pilots, and goes a bit psychotic. Emotionally tense dogfighting ensues.

It's an OVA of 4 episodes, with a super nice english dub. Probably the series that introduced me to anime in the first place.

Some of the macross are on netfrix though I dont know which ones specifically. I saw a couple movies on there.

Macross overall is okay, but it just ages so badly because of the music. The new series, Frontier I can't even stand because it's really bland, Kawaii and popish.

But Plus was in a league of it's own. The music was done by Yoko Kanno, aswell, I forgot to mention (The lass who did everything from GITS to Cowboy Bebop's soundtrack). >_>

WTF HOW CAN I ACCEPT ALL OF THIS WHY IS IT SO.... UGGGGH. ;A; i really wanted more kanba himari moments... but then again i dont think the show typically wants to show us this... it's so emotional and all, i really love this anime and live with every moment of it ;AAAA;
