And what wood the Inuit do use is driftwood. I like the North Water Tribe worldbuilding better because at least they have like a flippin' snow kingdom, whereas the designers for the South Pole were like "lol Alaska Native lol igloos lol."
Clock: The creators of the show said that both water tribes were inspired by Inuits/Inupiaq.

Sure, but it's a whole heck of a lot less intuitive than making a snow house. And if they control water, then how come they still bothered to make the brick pattern of an igloo?
But that's not really the point. The point is that the stereotype of native culture in that show is a wee bit icky.

I kind've liked it, sure they could've done better, but it's not the worst film adaptation to a tv show.

Was bad.
Real bad.
But my dad fanboyed about it. XD He didn't even know that the movie was based on a tv show.
