    THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING!!

This is how you sketch?! I'm in awe of your skills. I don't do BGs very well & I respect those who can greatly. I use PS for my finishing. Any tips or advice?

Just as long as we can see it - it's all good! One tip: make sure the lighting is good or else the photo will turn out dark.

I'm seeing some really nice stuff here you guys!

Trying to get out of the 'inner shadow' mode of shading in PS & start utilizing my tablet & soft brushes more. I think this 1st attempt sucks...

Anyway, I'm off to tai chi class. Won't be cak on until tommorow.

I drew this in 15 minutes during a break at work while looking out the window:

Also, I'm gonna start on value painting. It's been said that people improve faster with that. Now if I could only stop playing Phoenix Wright and reading Touhou doujins for an hour or two I'd have it made.

I've been wondering about this. I'm sure you improve on how to digitally paint things, learn about lights, darks, and color schemes, and basically how to use color blocks but... does it really improve your drawing skills? For example, will your knowledge of anatomy improve if you value sketch? How about perspective - drawing buildings and so forth?

I remember when I went on a value and lighting binge. It does help you understand contrast and lighting, but not necessarily your drawing skills. Best to have that down beforehand.

Also this junk I did with mouse.

My ability to speedpaint is just dire at the moment lol.
