Omg Cloudy I loveeee their design. Moody detectives + smoking + long coat = yes pls.

I'm trying to do ~clothes~ because honestly the last serious drawing I did was this (warning: boobs at link) and the boobs are literally just because I hate drawing clothes so much.

    Which is pretty pathetic.

(I'm also planning on some playing around with lighting courtesy of Magic Happenings, that's why the pose is so weird and what her hand is doing.)

(also her hair is supposed to be natural black girl hair which I am FAILING at conveying properly.)

That's a nice pose zizi. Do you use reference or just draw by mind?

    Trying new guidelines.

I haven't been drawing a lot recently. I tried going on the group board twice but I can't draw properly there.

YAWN~ I'm tired... Thanks Jorgie but I don't know if I can keep it up x(

I can't seem to make finished drawing everyday only sketches and doodles :/
Well this is what I go through when I do digital drawings. It's a new W.I.P.

I don't use references most of the time because I am Bad and Lazy, but when I was first learning how anatomy worked I used references all the time. References are 400% the way to go and I fully recommend taking some time to work on sketches of referenced pictures every day if you can. It helps to understand how anatomy works, which then becomes an understanding you can transfer to hyper-stylised and non-referenced drawings. I use posemaniacs when I do drawing exercises.

Speaking of! This started out as an exercise in dynamic posing, and evolved into a cool Tiefling girl.

P.S Dluzions, you don't have to do a finished drawing every day. Try and do lots and lots of sketches instead, that then if you like one you can go back and work on it.

This is what it looks like when I initially sketch something out:

I'll do a bunch of different poses, half of them boring or that I just don't like, and half the time I never do anything with them and they just exist as doodles.

But sometimes I'll do one I like, and it'll go from this:

    To this:

I am a slow worker. I get distracted easily, I get frustrated easily, and I have the work ethic of a hyperactive gnat. So don't beat yourself up for not doing 'a finished drawing' every day, drawing something every day is the goal.
