Personally, I like the second one better. But maybe the second one would work better if it showed his eye more? Like maybe you could make the bangs around the eye shorter in the second one like you did in the first one so that the end of the eyebrow and the marking can be seen, since they are unique =)
The 'do on the right, but the top should be more rounded. His head looks thinner on the right, too thin.
A full body view might help us judge too.

@Fenn: I see what you mean, but I kinda like that "thin head" look lol. I admit this sketch was relatively rushed, but for the mot part, Cyrus' (and like 2 more characters) have pretty thin heads...
@Tsig: You know, I drew him with that 'do, but with his eye showing like you said, and I didn't like it much. I think he looks more mysterious like this. It'll be a nice surprise; when a breeze kicks up, you'll be like "oh, hey! Check out the eye!" Lol. Oh, and thanks for calling it unique :-)
And I guess a full-body pic might make this easier. I'll whip one up soon :-)

I like the stly on the right myself, but it's hard to see the details of his RINNENGAN.
