This one is for a guy on DA. Its his OC Ms.Hancock . She is one badass character. Had lots of fun doing her, Hope I did a good job and enjoy! I'll post more up as soon as I can. Thats all atm :/.
[PS: The lines are a bit well... wonky.. my tablet pressure is screwed up >_> sorry about that...... I screwed up]
So yea some gb stuff......
Its my OC Nyu 8D. Having a bit of fun with neko ears and also some fish love :D. Well I don't have much to post atm but I'll try to post some more stuff when I can so yea this is all for now.
Really love the bracket picture, so adorable. > v <
The dark picture is cool, but her limbs look rather stiff. I think this is partly because we see her hands and feet completely parallel to the screen, so it seems like they are lacking dimension. Also, the pose is somewhat odd, not something one would see in everyday life. Is she supposed to be jumping sideways?
Man, I would love to see what you could do with pen pressure. D:
As for the last one, you already know I like it but, I guess I'll just say it again -- her expression is so cute. XD Even if you think it looks weird. :<
Do you happen to have more than one nib for your tablet pen? If so, I find that it helps to use a softer nib tip. Well, I actually just found that out yesterday because I was tired of the plastic on plastic feel. But for steadier lines, I'm gonna recommend to you what OC recommended to me awhile back: draw your original picture at three times the size of your intended final draft. Then, when you get all your lineart and color done, shrink the image.
That being said, when I look at them, I realize that your lines are too thick for your current coloring style. OC also told me that thick lines go well with sharp coloring, i.e. Lucky Star, and thin, 1px lines work well with soft color. Check some of the DA masters if you need examples of soft coloring/thin lines. I recommend:
http://babu523.deviantart.com/ (This girl's got a combination of thick lines, thin lines, and soft coloring. So if you wanna keep up thick lines, this is an excellent resource.)
By the way, Nyu = moe. Epic. I've said it before, but I love your style.
@ Tay: Thanks man :D. Btw the black picture one she is actually doing sort of like a side-jump kick xD. But it FAILED OTL... [PS: I still think the last pic looks weird ;S]
@ Matt:I only have one pen nib atm OTL... Oh and thanks for the advice man I'll keep that In mind. I'll try to use the style OC taught you and also thanks for the links man I'll take a look at them :D. [PS: Nyu chan <:]
Samurai Champloo! Nuf said >=). Will post more soon.
I haven't seen Samurai Champloo yet, so I don't know who she is, but the girl on the right looks great.
