I think right now, it's just the calm before the storm. I'm sure it'll pick up soon but there's only so much one can cover in one chapter so we just have to wait a bit.
The art is dense lately. I'm having trouble telling what's going on because each panel is so busy.
Yeah, I notice that too once in awhile especially for those big battles that have been happening lately. It's cool for looking at later when you're not really focused on reading it (i.e. I've been looking for Panda-man, for example, and I've seen him in the background).
I am really confused right now. The art is just too crowded.

I just can't even tell what is going on in the panels anymore.
I can see where you're getting confused. There are too many things going on and he doesn't really separate the panels. For example, when he's been introducing new characters lately (particularly the new pirates), Oda drew all of them in a 2-page spread but he also drew smaller panels with their faces in them and something that just said. That's a lot of stuff going on on both pages.
Anyways, you can try reading it slower and just try to look around and make sure you catch everything before moving on.

I used to not like the one piece, my reason is the style and image is too crowded. But two years ago accidentally i read it in skypea chapter after that i watch all of the anime and read all of its chapter. this is the best shonen manga i ever read.
Anyway I think Zoro become more funny these day.
