my favorite anime character should be kaito kid in detective conan... although i know that most of his appearance just came from lupin lol,,, he looks exactly like lupin that's for sure,, ... >.<

Kagami Hiiragi from Lucky Star. She's cute, strict but kind at the same time (new kind of tsundere), and get lonely very easily (which adds her cuteness even more).

BTW, my favorite character from a video game (VN) Rio Kugenuma from Do You Like Horny Bunnies. And she is the first and only fictional character that I fell in love with... for a long time until I know Kagami. Now that if I think about it, Kagami and Rio shares a similar personality. I think this is the reason why I love these characters.

I find hard to see Kanti as the best anime character, I love him but his thesis has always been kinda confusing for me.


For my it would be Spike Spiegel.

Spike Spiegel is a interesting character for many reasons. First of all he is sarcastic, careless and sometimes kinda childish, which makes him very charming in his own way. He also is very special, he remains me to Sherlock Holmes, because he has no other goal than his jobs, he has a authority problem, he live to satisfy himself, and being the main character you never end knowing him completely, which makes him extremely interesting if you want to go deep in his psychology.

He lives through a dramatic philosophy this is because for him, he is dead, and death is just a awakening of a dream. This idea its pretty interesting for a main character, because it shows he has no goals, or his goal is to be awake (of course this can't be the goal, because the goal must be specific). But his philosophy die with love, and so it also get stronger when he lose his love, turning him back to someone who has nothing to live, but everything to put his ass in danger.

That's why I love Spike, its because its a lineal character that is amazingly well done, it gave me the chilling of Casablanca, a mystery and deep psychology as in Sherlock Holmes and a constant sense of style and charm that work perfectly with the character.

IMO, Light is a good guy and benefited the world with his methods. In truth, neither Light or L were supposed to be "good guys". L was trying to get rid of Light, even though he was benefiting the world. Light was trying to get rid of criminals, even though he ended up killing a lot of innocent people in order to stay under the radar.

It's a good commentary on how our compassion toward other humans, even criminals, perpetuates war and corruption. Yet it's not our authority to decide if people deserve to die or not.

I've been wrapped up in Touhou so long that I forgot how much I liked that guy. He's a fairly linear character, and yes, he's many times overpowered, and his flaws are minimal, but through all that I can't help but like him. And I can't figure out why. It's probably something really simple.
