pajamajam

It's fries, gravy, and cheese curds. In other words, freaking magical.

We've got a weird mish-mash of stuff like that, only ours is called a Horseshoe, and it's toast, with a burger or turkey, or veggies (whatever you like), topped with fries, and then smothered in cheese sauce.

It's good.

My school's cafeteria sells it and it's okay. You can probably find better stuff at some fast food restaurants though. They sell it at A&W, New York Fries Dairy Queen and some other places I think.

pajamajam

Awe, the A&W here doesn't have poutine. :(

What? Gravy? I know about fries, cheese, and chili but fries, cheese and gravy? That's different...

Hey is there meat in poutine.

Kind of disappointed that none of the veteran members have asked that yet.

Ozzaharwood
12-08-2010, 11:36 PM
No, there is isn't. But the gravy is usually from a meat. (Or was that a non-serious question? O___O)

Whatever you do, don't eat the poutine from KFC. It's disgusting.

Also, Rio. You live in NY and haven't heard of poutine? :O
I thought a big city like that would have poutine... (Or do you live outside of NYC?)

I bet you could make your own, if you were wanting it with meat free gravy. There's all kinds of "beef flavored" vegetarian and vegan gravies out there.

Cheese curds aren't vegan, though.

Rio

@ Oz
I live just outside the city and dude, do you know how many eateries are in NYC?! I still haven't gone through all the bakeries and restaurants in Chinatown and Little Italy alone!

Zoe

@Oz, poutine is hard to find in the US. ;[
(Or at least not in the north east.)

I've only found it in Canada. So I only have it if I make it at home. ;-;

Chicken isn't vegan?

Ozzaharwood
12-09-2010, 09:31 PM
LOL

Cheese curds aren't chicken, they are pieces of cheese made from the excess milk that wasn't used to make the (usually cheddar) cheese.

@ Rio
Oh, lol. I thought there was a lot but not that much... You'll prolly find one sooner or later. Or you could try finding a recipe on the internet and make it, it'd most likely be worth it ;D

I know what cheese curds are, Oz. I eat poutine all the time. You need to watch scott pilgrim vs the world.

You're forgetting the gravy argument. Most gravy's made with meat broth. It counts for those who are watching out for meat.

Hey, Boston's Chinatown is puny compared to New York City's Chinatown! I mean, it's only one block or so but they have a cool lookin' gate.

Come to NY angel dreamer and you'll see what I mean. It's just the truth. Philly's Chinatown is as small as Boston's but what's worse about it is that it's not really a Chinatown - it's so commercialized. They hardly have any bakeries, very few grocery stalls, and it's all mainly restaurants. As for Chicago, they only have a strip mall of a Chinatown which is pathetic. I'd like to go to the one in San Francisco because I hear that one is good. :hopes not to be disappointed:

Btw, Boston's Little Italy is a nice place. Their festival isn't as much of a crush as NYC's San Gennaro which, depending on how you like it is a plus or a minus.

Why the necromance

1. I'm a necromancer by occupation

2. I thought it would be cool to go back to the oldest non-locked thread and bring it back. See how people reacted, maybe encite some nostalgia. Idk, I was bored.

3. I love that emoticon.

It made me laugh to do it.
