How to making a manga comic step by step?
How to Ink a comic?
Those will be covered by these:
- how to write a script
- how to typeset words
- how to typeset sfx
- advanced digital toning
- how to compose manga pages
- how to make Sound Effects
- how to do a seamless battle

As for inking - there's not much to do except to practice and ink yourself. Other than that, there is digital inking but that will be covered under CGing.

Doing a Dress

Rio
05-09-2011, 08:36 AM
Doing a DressCan you be more specific? "Dress" can mean the full ball-gown dress, more contemporary dresses, summer dresses, cultural dresses and so on. It's a very broad term so if you can narrow it down, that would help a lot. Also, if you didn't see it, we do have a skirt tutorial (http://www.mangatutorials.com/index.php?do=/news/how-to-draw-skirts/) which is a starting point for drawing dresses.

destroyed towns, destroyed rocks... ... well i need to know how to destroy places >.<

Rio
06-11-2011, 07:55 PM
That's easy. Draw them in complete totality and then take chunks off of them (i.e. erase them), draw weed and debris, and make everything look mangled, broken and so on. If anything, just look at pictures from wars, old ruins, crashes, and similar images.

A tutorial that would be pretty cool to have (I haven't seen other places to have it): Axis of Action and Action on Frames.

Could you add links to each of your tutorials so it's easier to find them? Could use this thread to find tuts as well as request then ;)

To be honest I think your the one who's most knowledgeable about that than any of us, It'll definitely help me out a lot of if your the doing the tutorial clock.

Maybe a tutorial on how to draw bruises and scrapes, and the like. Oh, and perhaps a tutorial on how to draw a solar flare effect.

I got 3 suggestions.
1. A tutorial/reference about shading in different lighting. Like daylight, moonlight, warm, cold... etc.
2. A tutorial on how to shade metals and shiny objects.
3. How to draw different weather. Thunderstorms, Sunny, Cloudy, Snow... etc.

I know a lot of good blender tutorials if you want to use that. It's free and surprisingly good. I use blender whenever I want to make 3D models. animations.. etc. Might make more when I can use my desktop.

you should make a video section just for tutorials.

coloring skin would be nice.

What about one on silhouettes and shading? As in parts of clothing or body parts etc that would have be a bit darker, kinda. Kinda like how in manga they use screen tones for things like that. Pretty much how know what parts to shade.

Another one may be how to draw or add highlights to hair or show like where the sun hits. Like when you have a character with black hair i don't think you'll ever really see their hair being fully black. They'll have like this white part to show where the hair and stuff are going. I don't really understand that one so it may be helpful for some others as well as me.

I have a couple here:

Firearms.
Army Uniform.
Scarf.
Maybe power blasts, I don't know I could probably figure that out.

All I can think of for the moment.

EDIT:

Thought of uno mas: Crying.

Moonlightx

Crying would be a good tutorial indeed. Some tutorials on fantasy people (elves, fairies, mermaids) would also be useful.

Hmm, the school uniform thing was great, but I would like to see a more in depth tutorial on customization. (Logos, colors, collars, etc.) How do you come up with ideas on how to personalize uniforms?

Besides that... do you have one about drawing figures in perspective? I know you have figure tut., and I know you have perspective tut., but one where you have figures in perpective would be awesome.

Rio
12-05-2012, 02:50 PM
Nice suggestions! I'll add those to the list. FYI - I'll be doing CG tutorials (mostly) next week if it's of any interest to you... or anyone else here actually. :3

@ Gunzy

I'm actually putting together some CGing tutorials for next week so if you can get this GB tut done by tonight - that'd be great!

GunZet
12-06-2012, 02:15 PM
Alright sweet. I may not be able to get it done tonight, as I was referring to last night, but didn't get any replies, so I have finals and stuff today, and I won't be here much later on in the day. But tomorrow for sure.
I'll try and go over every little thing as clear as I can.

Hopefully Camtasia won't screw up so I can record my voice this time.

I'd REALLY love o see a tutorial ob CGing! I've trying to figure out how to color like Cype's piece that's he recently posted in the 'Let's Exercise' forum for a while now with no success. I'm so used to archaic black and white techniques like real pen & ink work & screen tones so I guess there's a learning curve. If there's already one, could someone show me where?

Something like this?

You can also check out a channel called 'idrawgirls' who has some pretty good, pretty straight-forward tutorials.

Would anyone know of a tutorial relating to lineart or whatnot? Like, I think I'm decent at drawing, but I don't know how to make the actual art look all fancy and clean as seen in your average manga. Things like brush size, or program, image dimensions; that kinda stuff. ((I need to do a graphic novel for school, essentially)) I don't know if there are any on the site (couldn't see any, but maybe I'm blind ;D)

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I have access to Photoshop. And Paint. But mainly Photoshop.
